Chairman’s Report
Back in February, the Council voted to hold a Raffle to help raise funds for the Ray Smith Scholarship Fund.  First prize is $5000 and second prize is $1000.  So far, we have only sold 20 tickets.  We need your help to both buy tickets and sell tickets.  Get a hold of Patti or Jessica.  Only 1000 tickets will be sold.  Buy yours today!

We will be holding a Driver Appreciation Barbeque on Wed. August 26th at the Fort Collins POE.  Please sign up at the front table if you can help.

We will have a roadeo round-up meeting following today’s meeting.  Anyone who wishes to provide feedback on this year’s event, please plan to stay a few extra minutes

We had a great Colorado Presence at the Rendezvous in Cody.  We learned a lot, and will be “borrowing” heavily from topics and speakers throughout the next year or so.  Mark your calendars for July 14-16 in McCall Idaho for 2010.

Chairman’s Report:
Safety Saturday at the CMCA Annual Convention was a huge success.  Word One Associates and Dan Baker both conducted exceptional training sessions.

Also, as you might have noticed, Carl Salazar gave up the gavel after 4 years of hard work.  Many thanks to Carl for his work as Chairman, and we still hope to see you regularly.

At the convention the Ray Smith Scholarship Committee raffled off a 50 inch plasma television.  The winning ticket was one of a packet of tickets purchased by the Denver Newspaper Agency for driver incentives.   Carl managed to make one of his drivers extremely happy this year.   Next year, think about doing the same for your drivers and employees when we start the raffle process again.

Old Business:
The audio/visual remodel for downstairs is complete!

CMCA Logo catalog is finished up and ready to purchase.
