2008 Roadeo - Call for Entries
The 2008 Colorado State Truck Driving Championships will be held on Saturday, May 31st, 2008. The competition will be held at the Adams County Fairgrounds, 9755 Henderson Road in Brighton, Colorado.
2008 Roadeo Schedule
- Each competitor must check in between 6:00 and 6:30 am on Saturday, May 31
- Orientation will begin promptly at 7:00 am.
- Once the orientation paperwork has been distributed, no one will be allowed to enter the room.
- Late arrivals will be disqualified.
- Drivers will only be sequestered while their class is competing. Schedules will be passed out during check-in, and will be announced during the event. Drivers who are late, or fail to show up for their activities will be disqualified.
Entry Fee
The entry fee is $50.00 per contestant
National TD Championships
The winners of each category will be eligible to participate in the National
Truck Driving Championships to be held in Houston, Texas on August 19-23,
2008.
Free Concession Stand
A free concession stand will be available for drivers, volunteers and
their families. Drivers are invited to bring their families, turning it into a fun day. Don’t
forget your sunscreen!
Pets
Please leave your pets at home.
Early Test & Interview Required
Driver written exams and oral interviews will be held on May 17th. and May
30th (driver's choice) at the Colorado Motor Carriers Association Office
at 4060 Elati Street, Denver. Written Exams and oral interviews can
not be done during the day of the event. You must do it ahead.
CMCA Members
We strongly urge you to encourage your drivers
to participate in the Roadeo. A copy of the entry form is enclosed. Please make copies
(both sides) for your drivers. If you need additional copies, or have questions, please call me

Entry Deadline
All roadeo applications must be in by Wednesday, May 12, 2008. Absolutely no
entry forms will be accepted and no refunds will be made after that date, unless
prior arrangements have been made.

We strongly urge carriers to encourage drivers to participate in the Roadeo. A copy of all needed documents is available here. Please make copies for your drivers.

Put Your Company Logo on CMCA's Roadeo Trailer
A CMCA member company generously donated a 28' trailer to house our Roadeo equipment. We refurbished the trailer, added racks for storage and made it fit our specific storage needs.
Add your Company logo to the Roadeo Trailer. The logos are permanent and cost is a one-time expenditure. Click here for the Trailer logo sponsorship form.
Since we will be repainting the trailer, CMCA is offering to to put member companies logos on the trailer as a way to show support for the Truck Driving Roadeo. This is a one time opportunity. Print the logo sponsorship form and send to CMCA.
Sponsorships, Advertising and Exhibit Space
There are any number of ways to spread the costs of this
event. Sponsorships help cover the costs of awards and trophies,
children's entertainment, and volunteers.
The Roadeo program also has advertising opportunities and exhibit booths
in the public area of the roadeo are available. Click

Your company will be recognized in the program and appropriate signs placed around the event.

Volunteers:
The Colorado Roadeo could not be held without support and hard work by
our many volunteers. Last year we had over 150 volunteers. Many
of these are the first to show up in the morning and last to leave.
This year we would like to increase volunteer involvement by competing companies.
Recognizing that many of the
family and colleagues want to be on-site to watch and cheer on your drivers,
we are asking for
“short-term” volunteers. We have specific tasks that can
be accomplished in short periods of time
(registration, exam monitors, score runners, clean-up crews). These positions
only require a couple of hours, but would be immensely helpful to our Roadeo
committee and core of volunteers. Please call Patti to discuss volunteer
opportunities, and help the day run smoothly.
