CMCA Membership
Now, More Than Ever:
CMCA is the Voice of The Trucking Industry in Colorado
First and foremost, the Colorado Motor Carriers Association provides a solid "pro-trucking" representation to the State, Local and Federal Government. CMCA has a consistent and positive working relationship with regulatory and legislative bodies. We prevent ill-conceived ideas from becoming law, mostly by providing solid facts and suggesting alternatives that work for everyone. CMCA has effectively represented Colorado's Trucking Industry for over 70 years.
CMCA offers many member benefits including:
Workers Compensation Program
Underwritten by Pinnacol Assurance and managed by Flood & Peterson Insurance, the CMCA Association Program can save you up to 4% on your workers compensation premiums. In addition, depending on the program you choose, you may be eligible for association dividends. Last year alone, Pinnacol Assurance and Flood & Peterson Insurance returned over $600,000 to our members. This group with its emphasis on safety resulted in an average decrease of 50% over the last 5 years.
Cooperative Health Insurance Program
CMCA offers affordable healthcare programs for member companies and their employees. These programs offer quality healthcare at a cost savings for our companies.
The CMCA Affiliates Program
CMCA has an "affiiiates" program that helps members receive great discounts for needed goods and services. Many suppliers of goods and services are part of this. Michelin Tires are one prime example. CMCA members can receive discounts on Autosock products, office supplies, telecom service, GPS tracking, employee screening, drug and alcohol testing to name a few.
There is a full webpage just devoted the our affiliate program.
Annual Conference and Regional Meetings
The CMCA annual meeting provides members with premium education and entertainment
in beautiful settings. The convention generally runs over a weekend and includes golf and meetings featuring nationally recognized speakers.
Along with the annual meeting, CMCA holds forums throughout the state to better obtain member input and inform them on relevant issues. The "Truck Town Meetings" have proved popular with carriers outside of the Denver metro area.
Networking & Sharing Ideas
CMCA represents a great opportunity to meet people in the trucking industry
and share ideas. With over 450 member companies, a wealth of contacts, knowledge and

Western Slope Chapter
CMCA member companies are spread across Colorado, but those on Colorado's Western Slope are heavily focused in the oil and gas industry and are a long way from Denver. The Western Slope chapter group, was established to better serve those carriers and with special attention to the oil and gas industry. The chapter usually meets in Grand Junction and meetings provide expert speakers and idea exchange similar to that provided in Denver by the Safety Management Council and the Maintenance Council. Western Slope meetings are announced on this website and there is also a mailing list notification.
